We are looking for some buddies to hang out with mornings or afternoons. We are available most mornings and Monday and Friday afternoons. We usually go to Medina Park, Bellevue Park, The Bellevue Club and other places in the area. I am also new to the area and don't know too much about what's out there. Would love to meet up! "Daddy doesn't like it when you adjust the seat, Apee," the six-year-old objected. "Well, I drive this vehicle a lot more than Daddy does, so it should be adjusted to where I like it." "Well, Daddy OWNS this van, so it should be adjusted to where HE likes it." I winked and said in a joking manner that if her daddy wanted a piece of me, he could bring it. We'd have a throw down. She told me that her daddy would use the "F-word." That caught my attention. I had no idea where she could have been exposed to such language. We are all so very careful around the kids. Dare I ask? As you know, working with kids is quite an amusing occupation. I recently took my two charges to the bowling alley for a little fun on a rainy day. The youngest was four, just barely meeting the age requirement to play. The attendant forgot to flip the switch that made the bumpers come up, but he rolled his first ball anyway. As predicted, his ball rolled right into the gutter and s-l-o-w-l-y rolled away, stopped briefly, then began to s-l-o-w-l-y roll back toward us and eventually stopped. I had to tell the attendant that we had a stuck ball on alley number nine! The attendant retrieved it and put the bumpers up for us. The next time the little guy went to roll the ball, I encouraged him to "put a little muscle behind his roll." He put the ball on the floor and pushed it with all of his might. As it started rolling away, he turned around, walked towards his seven-year-old sister and me, flexing his biceps, "You wanna feel my guns?" Daddy's comment upon my relaying the story to him?
